For an International Fashion retailer, Value Beyond Savings developed and led an engagement across all Marketing disciplines and at multiple levels. The purpose was to understand what current and future requirements looked like both in a discipline specific view as well as cross-cutting across multiple areas. These insights allowed the development of comprehensive business change plans to drive effectiveness and efficiency.
Simon led the Marketing, Communications and Research category for 2 years. Developed category strategies, gained support and Executive Director Government Communications sign off and planned the framework re-procurements to take 99.3% of CCS Marketing, Communication & Research contract value to the market. Simon was also a member of the Marketing Leaders Group within Government Communication Service.
Engaged with leads for ESG groups within the agency to understand potential blockers to success. Developed deep competitive analysis to show how the client agency compared to other companies in the same space. Identified a 10-point action plan to strengthen and accelerate ESG activity.
Simon was chair of the Oversight Team providing the Gambling Commission with assurance around the Fourth National Lottery Competition. Simon led the development of assurance activity for Phase One and Phase Two, including lessons learned and presenting findings at board level.
Working with a global online fashion retailer, Value Beyond Savings integrated the corporate Environmental Sustainability and Governance strategy into all aspects of their Goods Not For Resale Procurement activity. This ensured that the corporate ESG approach was considered at the key moments of truth when selecting and working with suppliers.
